Privacy Policy
This policy explains how JoinlyMeeting handles information when you use the macOS app, connect a Zoom account, contact support or visit this website.
1. Who is responsible
JoinlyMeeting is provided by Graure Elena Carmen. Marketplace business information may also identify GMI Electronice S.R.L. and its legal representative, Graure Mihai, where required by the applicable marketplace. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to [email protected].
2. Information processed by the app
Zoom authorization and meeting information
When you connect a Zoom account, the app processes OAuth access and refresh tokens and the meeting information needed to list, create and schedule meetings for the authorized account. Tokens are stored locally in macOS Keychain. JoinlyMeeting does not request Zoom profile or administrator scopes.
Recordings, notes and preferences
Recordings are saved locally in your Movies/Joinly folder. Whiteboard notes, appearance choices, pinned items and application preferences are stored locally on your Mac. The operator does not receive this content through a developer-operated service.
Device permissions
macOS controls Microphone and Screen & System Audio Recording permissions. JoinlyMeeting accesses these resources only after you start the relevant feature and macOS grants permission.
Support communications
If you email support, the operator receives the information you include, such as your email address, macOS version, app version and problem description. Do not send passwords, OAuth tokens, meeting passcodes or unnecessary personal information.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Information is processed to provide features you request, protect application security, troubleshoot support requests and comply with legal obligations. Depending on applicable law, the legal basis may be performance of a contract, your consent for optional device permissions, legitimate interests in operating and securing the app, or compliance with a legal obligation.
4. Sharing and third parties
Zoom-related requests are transmitted directly to Zoom over HTTPS and are subject to Zoom’s own privacy practices. Apple may process information when it distributes the application or handles marketplace transactions. An email provider processes support messages sent by email. JoinlyMeeting does not sell personal information and does not share local recordings or notes with advertisers or data brokers.
5. International transfers
Zoom, Apple or the email provider may process information in countries other than your own under their respective privacy terms and safeguards. The operator does not independently upload app data to a hosted analytics or storage backend.
6. Retention and deletion
- OAuth tokens remain in macOS Keychain until you disconnect Zoom, revoke the app at Zoom or delete the corresponding Keychain item.
- Meeting data displayed in the app remains local and may be refreshed or cleared when you disconnect.
- Recordings remain until you delete them from Movies/Joinly.
- Notes and preferences remain until you delete the app’s local data.
- Support emails are retained only as reasonably necessary to answer, troubleshoot and meet legal obligations.
Step-by-step instructions are available in the connection and data deletion guide.
7. Security
JoinlyMeeting uses OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code flow with PKCE, state verification, HTTPS for Zoom API traffic and macOS Keychain for tokens. A Zoom client secret is not embedded in the app. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, so users should also protect their Mac and Zoom account.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, withdraw consent or lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Because core app data is stored locally, many requests can be completed directly by disconnecting Zoom and deleting local files or app data. Contact us for assistance with information contained in support communications.
9. Children
JoinlyMeeting is not directed to children under 13 or a higher minimum age required by local law. A parent or guardian should contact us if they believe a child provided personal information through support.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app, legal requirements or distribution arrangements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
